Job summary

BOGE Rubber & Plastics México, an automotive company specialising in rubber and plastic components, is seeking a Quality Engineer for the rubber area. The role focuses on supervising rubber production quality, monitoring indicators and scrap rates, and leading root cause analyses to drive improvements.

The candidate will update control plans and quality documentation, coordinate responses to customer complaints, and participate in audits across products, processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have experience in quality engineering within automotive/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and audits is required.
• Proficiency with AIAG Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the quality of rubber production processes.
• Monitor quality indicators, scrap rates, and drive continuous improvement actions.
• Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for deviations.
• Update and implement control plans, visual aids, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate actions to resolve customer complaints and participate in audits.
• Manage quality activities for new projects, including capacity studies and PPAP approvals.
• Coordinate quality staff across departments and promote skills development.

Job description

At BOGE Rubber & Plastics México, an automotive company specialising in rubber and plastic components, we are looking for a Quality Engineer for the rubber area.

• To supervise and ensure the quality of rubber production processes.
• To monitor quality indicators, scrap rates and action plans for continuous improvement.
• To lead root cause analyses and corrective actions in the event of quality deviations.
• To ensure the updating and implementation of control plans, visual aids and quality documentation.
• Coordinate activities to resolve and address customer complaints.
• Participate in audits of products, processes and quality systems.
• Manage quality activities for new projects, including capacity studies, MSA and PPAP approval.
• Coordinate the technical quality staff and promote the development of their skills.
• Work across departments with Production, Process Engineering and other support areas.

Required profile:

Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related degree.

3 to 5 years’ experience in quality engineering within the automotive or manufacturing industry.

Knowledge of quality management systems and audits.

Proficiency in AIAG Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, AMEF, MSA and SPC.

Experience in root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Experience in rubber manufacturing processes would be an advantage.
