Job summary

Gi Group Mèxico is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality activities for new and existing automotive programs in a 100% digital environment. The role emphasizes control plans, PFMEA/DFMEA, and PPAP packages to meet customer requirements.

The candidate should have an engineering degree (or CQE) and at least one year of automotive QA experience, with strong reading of drawings and a proactive, communication-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or CQE certification or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience as a quality engineer in automotive industry.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of automotive quality customer requirements.
• Ability to complete PPAP packages to customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Quality Engineering Function on new and current programs.
• Develops and implements quality documents for new product programs including control plans, inspection reports, master samples, visual aids, and work instructions.
• Establishes gauging requirements and approvals.
• Manages PPAP packages for internal and external customers.
• Provides customer liaison support for launch activities.
• Leads problem solving processes for quality issues.
• Reviews quality reports to drive corrective actions and ensure conformance.
