Mam de la Frontera, S.A. de C.V. is seeking a senior Quality Engineer to drive improvements in product quality and process performance across SMT, test, and related functions.

You will coordinate across Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure robust CAPA, data-driven decisions, and prevention of defects. • Degree in Industrial, Electronics, Electromechanical, Mechatronics or related field.
• 90% proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in electronics and/or automotive industry.
• At least 5 years in a Quality Engineering role with strong knowledge of quality management systems and CI/FMEA.

Responsabilidades

• Drive improvements in quality and performance indicators across SMT, THA, Test, and OOBA processes using structured analysis and problem-solving tools.
• Act as liaison between Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, perform failure analysis, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Descripción del empleo

The position will be responsible for driving improvements in quality and performance indicators, across SMT, THA, Test (Funcional, ICT, Flying Probe), and OOBA processes, using structured analysis and problem-solving tools and methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have an analytical, proactive, and results-oriented profile, with strong decision-making skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams while serving as a liaison between Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers.

Strong skills in objective failure analysis, conflict resolution, identification of improvement opportunities, and timely decision-making regarding situations that may impact product quality or customer satisfaction are essential.

Knowledge of statistical and data analysis tools is required, including Minitab, Microsoft Office, ANOVA, DOE, CpK, PpK, T-Test, scatter plots, and analysis of Normal, Binomial, and Poisson distributions.

The candidate must also be able to effectively apply quality control techniques, methods, and tools, as well as interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

• Responsible for participating in and leading quality improvement initiatives, analyzing failures and nonconformities, identifying root causes, establishing and following up on corrective and preventive actions, and promoting a culture of prevention and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, and FDA QSR standards is required, along with knowledge and experience in SMT processes and equipment.
