ABB in Mexico is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to help develop capabilities for effective product and system control. You will ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements in a cost-efficient, safe environment.

You will contribute to standards and test method development to release compliant products, software, and services to customers. The role supports the low voltage team in San Luis Potosí, with emphasis on test protocols, data collection, and cross-functional

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronic or Electronics Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in similar roles.
• Solid knowledge of ANSI, UL and IEEE standards.
• Experience working with electrical safety controls.
• Hands-on experience in relay programming and control systems.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and tools.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conducting test protocols, as assigned, to ensure products, systems, or software meet specified requirements and customer expectations in incoming, manufacturing, factory test labs, or final inspection quality, including internal testing routine and Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.) as applicable.
• Supporting quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing and validation, and engineering, as applicable in the local organization.
• Executing and assisting specific quality-related training, promoting a passion for quality and integrity in all actions, with a focus on result orientation.
• Collecting, recording, and evaluating data to be interpreted according to the internal ABB specifications, customer norms, and applicable national and/or global standards while maintaining a high level of integrity.

Quality Control Specialist

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist local unit in developing the necessary capabilities to effectively control products and systems. Each day, you will ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements within a cost-effective and safe working environment. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in the development and implementation of standards and test methods to ensure only compliant products, software, and services are released to the customer.

The work model for the role is: This role is contributing to the low voltage team in SLP.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Conducting test protocols, as assigned, to ensure products, systems, or software meet specified requirements and customer expectations in incoming, manufacturing, factory test labs, or final inspection quality, including internal testing routine and Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.) as applicable.
