Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Purchasing, Materials, or Supply Chain
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Knowledge in Material Shortage Follow-Up and Purchase Order Management
• ERP experience, preferably Dynamics 365
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Responsibilities

• Establishes procedures to procure a variety of materials cost-effectively
• Prepares and assigns purchase orders and change notices to purchasing agents
• Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine material availability and prepares market analysis reports
• Reviews requisitions, supply sources, quotations, terms, and PO contracts for conformance
• Recommends major purchases based on price trends and supply availability
• Monitors vendor performance to ensure delivery, quality, and price commitments
• Develops clerical/office procedures and improves workflow for procurement efficiency

Allient Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to join our team in Reynosa, Mexico!

The Purchasing Supervisor engages in purchasing and distributing raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies among our facility in Reynosa, Mexico.

Responsibilities:

• Establishes procedures to accomplish procurement of a variety of materials in a cost-effective manner.
• Prepares and assigns purchase orders and change notices to purchasing agents.
• Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports.
• Reviews and monitors requisitions, supply sources, supplies, quotations, terms, etc.
• Recommends major purchases of materials on the basis of anticipated changes in prices or on unusual availability situations.
• Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
• Monitors performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure maintenance of delivery, quality, and price commitments.
• Develops and installs clerical and office procedures and practices, and studies work flow, sequence of operations, and office arrangement to determine expediency of installing new or improved office machines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in Purchasing, Materials, Supply Chain, or a related area, preferably in a manufacturing or maquiladora environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Knowledge in Material Shortage Follow-Up
• Experience in Purchase Order Management
• Purchasing Department KPI Monitoring
• Technical knowledge of Purchasing processes, Material Planning and MRP, inventory control, supply chain KPIs
• ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365 or another manufacturing ERP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Advanced Excel, Word, etc.)
• Willingness to travel (valid Border Crossing Card/B1/B2 visa required)
