Job summary

Ingredion in Guadalajara offers a Purchasing Intern role to gain hands-on experience in a global procurement environment. The program supports transactional purchasing while building skills in supplier management and cross-functional collaboration.

You will assist the Purchasing Department under supervision, collaborating with Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable, and other Buyers to ensure accurate PO processing and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Any prior procurement or purchasing experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Process Purchase Orders based on approved Purchase Requisitions.
• Work to meet established KPI targets.
• Communicate with suppliers to follow up on Purchase Orders and ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain supplier contact information and update vendor data in internal systems.
• Ensure compliance with key purchasing policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Procurement Operations and Accounts Payable to resolve issues and discrepancies.
