Ingredion Incorporated in Guadalajara, Mexico, is seeking a motivated Purchasing Intern to join our global purchasing team and gain hands-on experience in procurement, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration. You will support transactional purchasing activities while learning how to manage vendor data and ensure policy compliance in a dynamic environment.

As you develop foundations in procurement, you will work with Accounts Payable and Procurement Operations to resolve invoice

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Any prior procurement or purchasing experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Process Purchase Orders based on approved Purchase Requisitions.
• Work to meet established KPI targets.
• Communicate with suppliers, when needed, to follow up on Purchase Orders and ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain supplier contact information in internal systems and coordinate with Vendor Management to update vendor data when required.
• Ensure compliance with key purchasing policies and procedures.
• Liaise with Procurement Operations to resolve issues, risks, and dependencies related to Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, vendor communications, and vendor invoices.
• Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
