Job summary

Bluelight is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. You will oversee software development projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage client relationships across the US-LATAM region.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in project management, strong PM practices, and the ability to work across distributed teams with a focus on delivering high-quality applications on schedule.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing software development projects.
  • Experience delivering against fixed external deadlines with critical-path and buffer management.
  • Experience managing a client dependency register with dates, owners and escalation paths.
  • Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes.
  • Experience managing scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, timelines).
  • Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
  • Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting.
  • Experience with project management tools like Jira or Asana.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage software development projects from initiation to delivery.
  • Control project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources across multiple streams.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders and vendors; manage required-by dates and escalation paths.
  • Maintain formal risk registers and change-control processes.
  • Provide client-facing status reports and ensure milestone criteria are met.
  • Oversee distributed engineering teams and overlap US business hours.
  • Utilize Jira/Asana for tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure best practices and accountability across the team.

Requirements
  • 5+ years professional experience managing software development projects
  • Experience delivering against fixed, immovable external deadlines (e.g., product launches, trade shows) with critical-path and buffer management
  • Experience managing a client dependency register with required-by dates, owners, and escalation paths
  • Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes
  • Experience managing project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, integration timelines)
  • Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams
  • Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting
  • Experience with project management and tracking tools (Jira, Asana, or similar)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience translating technical concepts for non-technical clients and executives
  • Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and dependencies
  • Substantial background working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams
  • Ability to overlap US business hours
  • Bachelor's degree required
