Job summary

Bluelight is a leading software consultancy seeking a seasoned project manager to drive complex software initiatives while aligning with client expectations and timelines. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders across multiple concurrent streams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will oversee scope, budgets, risk management, and milestones, ensuring high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in software project management.
• Proven ability to deliver against fixed deadlines with critical-path and buffers.
• Experience managing client dependencies with owners and dates.
• Knowledge of risk registers and change-control processes.
• Experience overseeing scope, budget, resourcing and timelines across multiple streams.
• Coordination of third-party vendor dependencies and contracts.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
• Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance and client reporting.
• Proficient with project tracking tools (Jira, Asana or similar).
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate tech concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Background working with large, distributed systems and teams.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Extreme ownership, accountability for deliverables and client-focused mindset.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience managing software development projects
• Experience delivering against fixed, immovable external deadlines (e.g., product launches, trade shows) with critical-path and buffer management
• Experience managing a client dependency register with required-by dates, owners, and escalation paths
• Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes
• Experience managing project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, integration timelines)
• Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams
• Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting
• Experience with project management and tracking tools (Jira, Asana, or similar)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience translating technical concepts for non-technical clients and executives
• Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and dependencies
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams
• Ability to overlap US business hours
