Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. in Mexico City is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Investment Operations to lead strategic initiatives within the investment/asset management operations function. The role emphasizes cross-functional stakeholder management and strong project governance.

You will coordinate with Investment Operations, Technology, Product, Finance, Risk, and Compliance, drive end-to-end delivery, manage risks, and ensure timely updates to senior leadership. PMP/PRINCE2 is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end projects within Investment Operations from planning to closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with Investment Operations, Technology, Product, Finance, Risk, and Compliance.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests with timely resolution.
• Facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, track actions, and provide status updates.
• Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Identify gaps to improve operational efficiency, controls, and service delivery.
• Support implementation of new investment products and system enhancements.
• Coordinate UAT, testing, implementation, and post-production activities.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and controls.
• Prepare documentation, status reports, dashboards, and leadership presentations.
• Drive cross-functional teams toward milestones and delivery.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Investment Operations to lead and deliver strategic projects within the investment/asset management operations function. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills along with a solid understanding of investment operations, financial services, and cross-functional stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end projects within Investment Operations, from planning and initiation through implementation and closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with Investment Operations, Technology, Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and other business teams.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests while ensuring timely resolution.
• Facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, track action items, and provide regular project status updates.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Identify process gaps and opportunities to improve operational efficiency, controls, and service delivery.
• Support implementation of new investment products, operational processes, systems, and technology enhancements.
• Coordinate UAT, testing, implementation, and post-production activities.
• Ensure projects comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and operational controls.
• Prepare project documentation, status reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
• Drive cross-functional teams toward project milestones and successful delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Project/Program Management, preferably within Investment Operations, Asset Management, Wealth Management, or Financial Services.
• Strong understanding of Investment Operations and financial services processes.
• Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, risk management, issue resolution, and dependency tracking.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Asset Management / Investment Management operations.
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle, settlements, reconciliations, portfolio management, securities, and fund operations.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar project management tools.
• Experience working with technology transformation or system implementation projects.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum certification is a plus.
