Job summary

Equity Packaging Inc. - North America in Mexico City is seeking a seasoned Packaging R&D professional to lead innovation, productivity, and packaging standardization across live systems.

You will collaborate with global teams to develop specs, conduct line trials, and harmonize packaging standards while driving cost savings and sustainability improvements.

Qualifications

• Graduate or engineer in Packaging or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Packaging R&D for CPG, F&B or related industries.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute packaging innovation and productivity projects.
• Develop packaging specs with global teams for live systems.
• Maintain and harmonize packaging specifications in the system.
• Lead capability improvement in productivity, benchmarking, and best practices.
• Drive sustainability reporting and cost-saving packaging changes.
• Coordinate line trials and commercialization with internal customers.

Job Description:

• Manage and execute packaging innovation and productivity projects.
• Working with Global Team for developing packaging specification for live system.
• Responsible for maintaining and harmonizing the packaging specification in the system.
• Creation of Standardized packaging specification document Responsible for Data Collection from Global Vendors/Suppliers for missing information to enable the subsequent creation & enrichment of all specs and packaging standards
• Lead Key Areas of Capability Improvement: Productivity/Value Creation, Category Benchmarking, Technical Know-How, Design Best Practices, Development Innovation Process &Excellence in Execution
• Lead the productivity improvement pillar for packaging areas in the supply chain cross function all team (material, equipment)
• Material, equipment, design, rationalization, waste improvement.
• Vendor based sustainability reporting.
• Manage Innovation Project from concept through commercialization and retail shelves
• Work with internal customers to commercialize packaging designs and concepts
• Represent packaging in cross functional team meetings to develop and implement new packaging and packaging changes to realize cost savings
• Conduct line trials
• Develop packaging specifications

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate or Engineering in Packaging or relevant field.
• 5+years minimum experience in Packaging R&D for CPG, Food & Beverage or related industries
• Good communication skills both oral and written
