Job summary

Equity Packaging Inc. - North America is seeking an experienced Packaging R&D professional to drive innovation, productivity, and standardization across our packaging portfolio. You will shape live systems, harmonize specifications, and collaborate with global teams to enable cost-effective packaging solutions.

The role focuses on line trials, supplier data collection, and lead initiatives for sustainability and improved packaging performance across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Graduate or engineering in packaging or relevant field.
• 1+ years minimum experience in Packaging R&D for CPG, Food & Beverage or related industries.
• Good communication skills both oral and written.

• Manage and execute packaging innovation and productivity projects.
• Work with Global Team for developing packaging specification for live system.
• Responsible for maintaining and harmonizing the packaging specification in the system.
• Creation of Standardized packaging specification document and data collection from Global Vendors/Suppliers for missing information.
• Lead areas of capability improvement: productivity/value creation, benchmarking, know-how, design best practices, development process excellence.
• Lead the productivity improvement pillar for packaging areas in the supply chain cross function.

Job Description

• Manage and execute packaging innovation and productivity projects.
• Working with Global Team for developing packaging specification for live system.
• Responsible for maintaining and harmonizing the packaging specification in the system.
• Creation of Standardized packaging specification document Responsible for Data Collection from Global Vendors/Suppliers for missing information to enable the subsequent creation & enrichment of all specs and packaging standards
• Lead Key Areas of Capability Improvement: Productivity/Value Creation, Category Benchmarking, Technical Know-How, Design Best Practices, Development Innovation Process &Excellence in Execution
• Lead the productivity improvement pillar for packaging areas in the supply chain cross function all team (material, equipment)
• Material, equipment, design, rationalization, waste improvement.
• Vendor based sustainability reporting.
• Manage Innovation Project from concept through commercialization and retail shelves
• Work with internal customers to commercialize packaging designs and concepts
• Represent packaging in cross functional team meetings to develop and implement new packaging and packaging changes to realize cost savings
• Conduct line trials
• Develop packaging specifications
