Job summary

FORVIA HELLA in Mexico is seeking a Program Buyer to negotiate supplier frame contracts, manage sourcing activities, and drive supplier performance across tools and components.

You will coordinate with internal teams to optimize the supply chain, process POs, and support the transition from operative to strategic purchasing, while collaborating with logistics to ensure delivery continuity. Fluent English and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience conducting purchasing activities.
• General computer and software skills (Excel, Word, Power Point).
• SAP and Ariba Purchasing module experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel up to 5-10 suppliers per year.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluent English.

• Analyze suppliers to identify opportunities for improvement and derive qualification measures.
• Own and analyze all company projections and supplier bandwidth to achieve production goals.
• Process company PO’s and negotiate contract terms.
• Participate in the transfer from Operative Purchasing to Strategic Purchasing.
• Collaborate with Logistics to manage deliveries and resolve EDI issues.
• Find outside‑the‑box solutions and achieve milestones.
• Build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

YOUR TASKS

• Negotiatesupplier frame contracts, define sourcing concept and realize sourcingactivities incl. but not limited to sending RfQs, negotiating andnominating suppliers for tools and components within the material group(new projects, lifetime extensions, change management, etc.)
• Analyzethe suppliers in order to identify opportunities for improvement andderive corresponding qualification measures, involving internalorganizational units, in order to optimize the process chain between thesupplier and Forvia Hella.
• Own andanalyze all company projections and supplier bandwidth to achieveproduction goals
• Processcompany PO’s and successfully negotiate contract terms.
• Participatein the transfer of responsibility from Operative Purchasing to StrategicPurchasing
• Collaborated closely with Logistics teams to manage deliveries, resolve EDI-related issues, and coordinate Schedule Agreements to ensure supply continuity and operational efficiency.
• Activelywork to find outside of the box solutions
• Achieveall required assigned project milestones
• Forgemeaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
