ZF Group in Querétaro, MX is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead line leaders and operators across assembly, machining, and finishing processes. You will plan resources, drive line balancing, and guide continuous improvement initiatives to meet quality, safety, and delivery goals.

The role requires an engineering degree and 3+ years in automotive manufacturing, with strong Lean skills and cross-functional collaboration. Rotating shifts, safety emphasis, and audits are part of the position.

Formación

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical degree.
• At least 3 years in automotive production environments.
• Experience supervising operational personnel and rotating shifts.
• Knowledge of Lean tools: 5S, SMED, line balancing, standardized work, and problem-solving.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and manage production resources to meet schedule, quality, productivity, cost, safety, and delivery targets.
• Lead daily production activities, including line start-ups, model changes, line balancing, and priority sequencing.
• Monitor KPIs such as OEE, scrap, downtime, and quality; maintain accurate line documentation.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Materials, Logistics, HSE, and other functions to resolve issues.
• Drive problem-solving and continuous improvement using Lean tools and structured methods.
• Manage production personnel, including staffing, overtime, attendance, training, and Kronos usage.
• Ensure workplace safety, PPE usage, emergency practices, and identification of unsafe acts.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and customer/corporate standards.

The Operations team is responsible for executing the production plan while meeting the organization’s quality, productivity, cost, safety, and delivery objectives. The team coordinates production resources and works closely with Quality, HSE, Materials, Maintenance, Logistics, and other support functions. It promotes standardized work, continuous improvement, and compliance with applicable management systems and customer requirements. The Production Supervisor leads line leaders and production operators across assembly, machining, and zinc-plating operations.

• Plan and manage production resources to achieve the established production schedule and organizational targets for quality, quantity, productivity, cost, safety, and delivery.
• Lead daily production activities, including line start-ups, model changes, line balancing, ANDON alarms, critical lines, material availability, customer sequences, and shipment priorities.
• Monitor and report key operational indicators, including OEE, scrap, downtime, productivity, safety, and quality, ensuring that production records and line documentation are accurate and current.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Materials, Logistics, HSE, and other support functions to resolve equipment failures, material constraints, quality concerns, and unplanned production interruptions.
• Lead problem-solving and continuous-improvement activities using tools such as 5 Whys, 5S, SMED, standardized work, line balancing, and OEE analysis.
• Manage production personnel, including staffing requirements, overtime, attendance incidents, vacation and leave records, training, transportation routes, and the use of the Kronos system.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements, appropriate use of personal protective equipment, emergency-response practices, and the identification of unsafe acts and conditions.
• Support internal, customer, and third-party audits while ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, customer-specific requirements, and applicable corporate standards.

Your Profile as Production Supervisor:

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical degree.
• At least three years of experience within the automotive industry.
• Experience supervising operational personnel and willingness to work rotating shifts.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools, including 5S, SMED, line balancing, standardized work, and structured problem-solving.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and manage OEE and other production indicators, including scrap, downtime, productivity, safety, and quality.
• Knowledge of automotive quality and management-system requirements,IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
• Knowledge of production planning, manufacturing documentation, control plans, equipment escalation, material coordination, and production systems.
• Strong leadership, coordination, communication, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\/<\/li>
