Forvia in Monterrey, Mexico, is seeking a Production Quality Engineer to drive quality excellence on the shop floor. You will act as the client representative and lead plant personnel in quality initiatives, ensuring adherence to the Control Plan and PPAP processes.

You’ll manage customer claims with 8D problem solving, train operators in quality tools, and collaborate with Process Engineering to monitor AMEF and documentation.

Qualifications

• Industrial engineer degree or similar.
• Advanced English.
• 3 years’ experience as quality engineer.
• Statistical tools for process control (Cp/Cpk).
• Preparation and interpretation of Control Plan and FMEA.
• Interpretation of dimensional reports.
• Audits to the quality management system.
• CQI-23 Special Process: Molding System Assessment preferred.
• IATF 16949:2016 preferred.
• Core Tools preferred.
• Problem Solving Methodology preferred.

Responsabilités

• Represent the client and lead plant personnel in quality matters.
• Maintain client criteria and ensure Control Plan adherence.
• Stop production and shipments if safety or quality is compromised.
• Meet customer requirements and manage claims using 8Ds.
• Lead PPAP activities for engineering or process changes.
• Train operators on quality principles and CQI tools.
• Maintain quality documents and AMEF monitoring with Process Engineer.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
