Job summary

Autoliv Mexico is seeking a Production Planning Manager to oversee the planning and control processes at the manufacturing facility. You will lead a team to optimize schedules, validate inventory, and ensure timely production to meet targets and customer demands.

Ideal candidates will have 5–8 years in production planning, a related bachelor’s degree, and advanced English. Experience with SAP, MRP/ERP, and data analytics is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 5–8 years in production planning and control in manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience leading teams.
• Advanced English is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mentor the Production Planning Group to ensure proficiency and development.
• Lead the team to identify and manage bottlenecks and capacity issues with Production Management.
• Develop scheduling tools to increase automation and reduce manual work in scheduling.
• Provide guidance to develop plant knowledge for schedule optimization.
• Develop and implement production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with FG Planning, RM Planning and Operations to align production plans to business objectives.
• Monitor operations to ensure finished goods availability while minimizing excess stock.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Analyze production KPIs and performance to recommend changes.
• Ensure material flow in and out of facility and warehouse.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cycle counts.
