Job summary

ABB in Apodaca, Mexico seeks aProduction Leader to oversee multiple production lines, ensuring efficiency, quality, and budgeting targets. You will manage a large workforce across shifts, drive lean initiatives, and coordinate with Customer Service & Sales to meet revenue goals while upholding HSE standards.

Required is a engineering degree with 8+ years in production leadership, plus Lean Six Sigma and APICS certifications, and advanced English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Production Leader or similar.
• Experience managing hourly and salaried employees (workforce of 120+).
• Experience managing production schedules.
• Experience with SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• APICS certification.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the annual production budget for multiple production lines, overseeing progress and implementing corrective actions to address cost issues.
• Manage resources effectively across lines with varying headcounts (55–200 employees per shift).
• Develop and execute strategies to optimize the operational performance of multiple production lines.
• Ensure alignment with customer requirements by managing (mid-complexity) orders efficiently.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives tailored to production line complexity; reduce non-value-added costs and increase yield.
• Provide support to Customer Service & Sales to align orders with revenue targets (USD 8M to 25M per month).
• Lead, guide, and develop a multi-line workforce; ensure staffing/training aligned with complexity.
