Core Molding Technologies is seeking a Product Engineer in our Mexico facility to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing assembly technologies and processes. You will ensure quality, cost, and delivery objectives while aligning with corporate standards and customer requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in Product or Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in assembly.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing assembly technologies and processes.
• Proficient with CAD software and data analysis tools.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with excellent communication skills.

About The Role

The Product Engineer plays a key role in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing assembly technologies and production processes at our Mexico facility. This position is responsible for ensuring product engineering solutions meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives while aligning with corporate standards and customer requirements. The Product Engineer partners closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, resolve technical challenges, and enhance product manufacturability and reliability through innovative engineering solutions and data‑driven decision‑making. This role is instrumental in supporting successful new product launches and managing products throughout their lifecycle, contributing to the company’s long‑term operational and business success.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in Product Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, preferably supporting manufacturing assembly processes
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing assembly technologies and production processes
• Proficiency with CAD software and data analysis tools
• Fluent in English and Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive, composites, or industrial manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with quality management systems such as IATF 16949
• Experience with structured problem‑solving methodologies including 8D, 5 Whys, or Root Cause Analysis
• Project management experience with the ability to lead cross‑functional teams

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing assembly technologies (MAT) to improve product quality and production efficiency
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to review product designs for manufacturability and recommend process improvements
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product and process issues identified during manufacturing
• Support new product introductions by developing process documentation, work instructions, and training materials
• Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure component quality and process capability
• Participate in cross‑functional project teams to support product launch schedules, cost objectives, and customer requirements
