Coto Technology S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on continuous improvement. The role involves analyzing processes, leading CI projects, and collaborating with Production, Quality, and Management to boost productivity and product quality.

You will conduct time and method studies, apply root cause analysis, design tooling, and train staff on new processes while upholding safety and Lean/Six Sigma standards.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical engineering field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering or Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.
  • Experience with problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Materials, and Management.
  • Experience preparing reports and presenting project results.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

  • Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement projects to boost productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Conduct process, time, and method studies.
  • Investigate manufacturing issues using root cause analysis and data-driven problem-solving tools.
  • Design and/or collaborate in the development of manufacturing tools, fixtures, equipment, and devices.
  • Prepare progress reports, performance indicators, and results for assigned projects.
  • Train production personnel on new processes, work methods, and implemented improvements.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with safety practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement projects focused on increasing productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Conduct process, time, and method studies.
  • Investigate manufacturing issues and develop effective solutions using root cause analysis and data-driven problem-solving tools.
  • Design and/or collaborate in the development of manufacturing tools, fixtures, equipment, and devices.
  • Prepare progress reports, performance indicators, and results for assigned projects.
  • Develop and update Work Instructions, Flow Charts, and manufacturing process documentation.
  • Participate in Engineering Changes (ECOs) and product/process deviations.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers regarding quotations, part development, tooling, and equipment.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions related to projects and department requirements.
  • Train production personnel on new processes, work methods, and implemented improvements.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with safety practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • More than 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience in manufacturing and production processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
  • Experience preparing reports and presenting project results.
  • Ability to work effectively with Production, Quality, Materials, and Management teams.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
