The role focuses on lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, mold/equipment validation, and cost-reduction initiatives, requiring advanced English and hands-on CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Formación

  • Engineering degree in Electronic or Electromechanics engineering.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in maquiladora industry.
  • Advanced English level required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, mechanical design, DFMs.

Responsabilidades

  • Solve manufacturing problems affecting product quality or availability; coordinate containment and corrective actions; maintain product documentation via MCO.
  • Generate engineering documentation for implementation of changes to structures of materials and process deviations.
  • Improve manufacturing processes from molding to production using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma; generate monthly improvement reports.
  • Manage Six Sigma and lean manufacturing methodologies; generate monthly reports to support quality objectives.
  • Lead cost reduction projects by qualifying new suppliers; participate in development and execution of the Test Plan.
  • Manage validation of molds and assembly equipment; ensure availability to meet ECO dates and capacity.

Descripción del empleo

Executes activities that require knowledge and good management of concepts, practices and fundamental procedures of his area of specialization in Engineering

1. Product management. Responsible for solving manufacturing problems of the assigned product lines that affect the quality or availability of the product. Performs and coordinates activities necessary to contain and correct manufacturing problems that affect the ability to comply with the production plans given. Responsible for the generation and maintenance of the necessary documentation of the products assigned through the use of the MCO process.

2. Generation of engineering changes. Generate the necessary engineering documentation for the implementation of changes to the structures of the materials and process deviations necessary for the process or product under its responsibility.

3. Continuous improvement. Manufacturing processes, from the molding process to production, improving continuously, through the use of lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma practices. Generates monthly reports of the activities carried out that support the quality objectives established by the company.

4. Six sigma and slender manufacture. Management of methodologies for the continuous improvement of the productive processes under its responsibility; Generates monthly reports of the activities carried out that support the quality objectives established by the company.

5. Conducts cost reduction projects by qualifying new suppliers of materials or parts. Participates in the development and execution of the Test Plan.

6. Validation of molds and / or equipment Manages the validation process of molds and new or existing assembly equipment as required. Ensures that the molds and / or assembly equipment will be available for production within the commitment dates established in the engineering change order (ECO) and as required to meet the capacity requirements to meet the required production demand.

  • Engineering degree as: Electronic or Electromechanics engineering
  • Previous experience as Manufacturing engineer 3-5 years in maquiladora industry
  • Manufacturing processes (SMT, through-hole, assembly)
  • Advanced English level is a MUST
  • Advance MS Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD,
  • Knowledge of Six sigma, lean manufacturing, mechanical design, DFM's.
