Lear Corporation in Ciudad Juárez, MX seeks an engineer to develop and release product engineering information ensuring design intent is fulfilled for manufacturing. You will lead changes, manage harness builds, BOMs, and related documentation in a fast-paced production environment.

The role requires Industrial Engineering or related field and skills in AutoCAD and automation. Candidates must be eligible to work in Mexico and be prepared for rigorous design reviews.

Formación

• Proficient in automotive design data and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to analyze engineering changes and prepare necessary information.
• Familiar with harnesses, BOMs, and production packaging concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Get, analyze and provide technical information for engineering changes requested by Customer, Manufacturing or Engineering.
• Analyze engineering change proposals and prepare design change notifications for the team.
• Lead to control engineering changes and design reviews.
• Develop, control and provide harness prints, BOMs, cut sheets, labor, visual aids, etc.
• Request updates to databases: MFG-Pro/QAD, SEM, Capital H library.
• Load technical information in Manufacturing Systems: MFG-Pro/QAD, UCS, LMI, etc.
• Ensure BOM accuracy per engineering changes and tear-down adjustments.
• Use knowledge to propose design improvements and cost reductions in harness manufacturing.
• Create, submit and follow up cost studies in CMTS.
• Obtain and release new component information for engineering changes.
• Request and analyze manufacturing specifications.
• Fulfill Lear’s Environmental and Quality Policies and Procedures.

Job Description

Develop and release of the product engineering information for manufacturing assuring the fulfillment of the design intent.

Responsibilities

• Get, analyze and provide technical information required for Engineering changes requested by the Customer, Manufacturing or Engineering.
• Analyze Engineering change proposals and prepare design change notification to the team.
• Leader to control the Engineering changes and design reviews.
• Develop, control and provide harness prints, bill of materials, cut sheets, labor, visual aids, etc.
• Request updates to the following data bases : MFG-Pro/QAD, SEM, Capital H library.
• Load technical information in the Manufacturing Systems : MFG-Pro/QAD, UCS, LMI, etc.
• Assure the correct information in the bill of materials ( BOM ) according with the engineering changes and the adjustments due to the Tear Down results.
• Use the knowledge and experience to propose design improvements and cost reduction during harness manufacturing.
• Create, submit and follow up cost studies in CMTS.
• Get and release new component information required for Engineering changes.
• Request and analyze Manufacturing specifications.
• Fulfills Lear’s Environmental and Quality Policies and Procedures.
