Flex is seeking a Product Data Management Engineer to join our Production Engineering team in Guadalajara North. You will support BOM management, ECOs, and process control initiatives to ensure manufacturability and product quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and exposure to BOM software, with junior-level experience. You will collaborate across engineering and manufacturing to deliver reliable data-driven improvements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Industrial) or equivalent.
• Junior experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Proficiency in BOM management software.

Responsabilidades

• Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product.
• Define, implement, and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
• Support ECOs and manage BOM revisions.
• Review product drawings and tolerances to ensure performance.
• Develop and implement BOM management processes and best practices.
• Prepare reports and presentations on BOM status and metrics.
• Interface with production on all activities related to new process implementation and transfer.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Product Data Management Engineer located in Guadalajara North .

What a typical day looks like:

• Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product.
• Define, implement, and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Have the capability to singly or with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
• Hold up the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Review product drawings and product tolerancing to ensure product performance requirements are met.
• Develop and implement BOM management processes and best practices.
• Maintain documentation and records related to BOMs.
• Support engineering change orders (ECO) and manage BOM revisions.
• Prepare reports and presentations on BOM status and metrics.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to BOM management.
• Develop, implement, and take ownership of process control methodologies.
• Implement statistical process research on new and existing products.
• Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer.
