Flex in Guadalajara is seeking a Process Engineer to strengthen our PCBA manufacturing capability, with emphasis on SMT, PTH and conformal coating processes. You will own process control, validate NPI designs, and lead improvements to cost, quality and delivery in a fast-paced production environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing (SMT & PTH).
• Experience with conformal coating is mandatory.
• NPI projects and cross-functional team experience desired.
• Proficiency in problem-solving using 5 Why's, Ishikawa, DMAIC, PDCA and 8D.

Responsabilidades

• Track downtime, scrap and line performance metrics.
• Participate in client meetings and NPI reviews.
• Define, implement and evaluate manufacturability designs and processes.
• Develop and own process control methodologies.
• Prepare capital equipment justifications and oversee new equipment.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Process Engineer located in Guadalajara, South Campus. The Process Engineer role involves in charge of process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to hold up a manufacturing organization.

What a typical day looks like:

• Tracking of metrics for downtime (TML) and scrap.
• Client meetings.
• New Product Introduction (NPI) reviews.
• Production line monitoring.
• Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Have the capability to singly or with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
• Hold up and oversee new process equipment production.
• Hold up the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters
• Develop, implement and take ownership of process control methodologies.
• Trouble shoot process related issues.
• Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.
• Evaluate and select various engineered materials.
• Implement statistical process research on new and existing products.
• Implement safety, productivity and make improvements.
• Improve manufacturing techniques and through put.
• Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities and gives in.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing (SMT & PTH)
• Experience with mechanical assemblies and electronic assemblies integrated into housings/racks
• Process and tooling design experience
• Experience in Conformal Coating is mandatory.
• Design of solder paste printing stencils
• Development of reflow oven profiles
• Design of wave solder pallets and wave solder profiles
• Experience working in Cross Functional Teams (CFTs)
• Experience working in NPI projects
• Strong problem-solving skills using 5 Why's, Ishikawa, DMAIC, PDCA, and 8D methodologies
• Conversational English proficiency, with the ability to confidently present DFMs, diagrams, action items, and presentations to clients.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
