Flex in Guadalajara, North Campus, is seeking a Product Engineer to analyze and customize technical information from customers for New Product Introductions or design changes, ensuring manufacturing processes preserve design and performance.

You'll support production, interface with customers and internal teams on changes, analyze BOMs for production readiness, and participate in cost-reduction initiatives while leading ECOS deployment and NPI activities. Fluent English required.

Formación

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in electronic manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge with implementation engineering changes.
• Leadership in NPI implementation.
• Experience with agile.
• Lead the implementation of ECOS.
• Fluent English.
• Knowledge in MRP (Baan, Flex flow) is also a plus.
• Availability to work 2nd and 3rd shift.

Responsabilidades

• Support production by addressing engineering issues on the production line.
• Interact with customers and departments on product issues – engineering changes, new model development.
• Analyze BOMs and define structure for production.
• Participate in cost-reduction efforts in materials, inventory, and scrap.
• Conduct DFM, tolerance analysis, DOE, and root-cause analysis for PCN/MCO reporting.
• Assess and decide actions for Product Change Notifications and Manufacturing Change Orders.

Position: Product Engineer – Guadalajara, North Campus

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Product Engineer is responsible for receiving, analyze, clean, and customize all technical information/documentation from the customer related to his product, derived from a New Product Introduction (NPI) or a design change in order to establish all necessary processes to manufacture it by maintaining its design and performance integrity.

What a typical day looks like:

• Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line.
• Interact with customer and various departments on product related issues – engineering changes, new model development.
• Customer´s Bill of Material (BOM) analysis and structure definition for production.
• Participate to cost reduction activities in areas like material, inventory, and scrap reduction.
• Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM), tolerance analysis, Design of Experiment (DOE), form-fit-function to determine failure root/cause analysis and reporting to customer.
• Analyze and determine course of action of Product Change Notification (PCN) and Manufacturing Change Order (MCO).
