Flex is the diversified manufacturing partner helping market-leading brands design, build and deliver innovative products. We are seeking a Product Data Management Engineer in Guadalajara North to support teams building great products.

You will define, implement and evaluate manufacturability designs, manage BOM processes, and collaborate with engineering on ECOs and process controls. Junior level experience is expected and a relevant engineering degree is required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Industrial or equivalent).
• Junior experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Proficiency in BOM management software.

Responsabilidades

• Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product.
• Define, implement, and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
• HOld up the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Review product drawings and tolerancing to ensure performance requirements are met.
• Develop and implement BOM management processes and best practices.
• Maintain documentation and records related to BOMs.
• Support ECOs and manage BOM revisions.
• Prepare reports and presentations on BOM status and metrics.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to BOM management.
• Develop and take ownership of process control methodologies.
• Implement statistical process research on new and existing products.
• Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer.

What a typical day looks like:

• Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product.
• Define, implement, and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Have the capability to singly or with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
• Hold up the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Review product drawings and product tolerancing to ensure product performance requirements are met.
• Develop and implement BOM management processes and best practices.
• Maintain documentation and records related to BOMs.
• Support engineering change orders (ECO) and manage BOM revisions.
• Prepare reports and presentations on BOM status and metrics.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to BOM management.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
