Collins Aerospace is seeking a PROCUREMENT PROFESSIONAL in Mexicali to manage the Procure-to-Pay process for indirect materials, supporting operational requirements and Supply Chain goals. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive cost-effective solutions and compliance with company policies.

The role requires 5+ years in procurement with SAP or similar ERP, strong English, and experience in supplier management and project collaboration.

Formación

  • University degree in a relevant field and several years of supply chain/procurement experience.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems in procurement environments.
  • Experience in supplier management, RFQs, POs, supplier portals, and procurement workflows.
  • Strong English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Execute standard buyer work to manage a group of suppliers, placing demand and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Process RFQs, purchase orders, and manage supplier portal activities.
  • Analyze supplier contract performance and ensure compliance with obligations.
  • Manage supplier relationships and drive improvements; identify risks and trends.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address shortages and improve delivery schedules.
  • Develop Line of Balance (LOB) and WIP trackers to monitor status.
  • Investigate root causes of overdue deliveries and implement permanent solutions.

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Procurement Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Procure-to-Pay process for indirect materials, ensuring timely and efficient purchasing activities that support operational requirements and Supply Chain objectives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive cost-effective procurement solutions, maintain compliance with company policies, and contribute to continuous process improvements. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting business operations while helping drive innovation and excellence in aerospace procurement.
What You Will Do:

  • Execute standard buyer work to manage a group of suppliers, using appropriate systems and tools to place demand, confirm commitments, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Process and maintain Request for Quotes (RFQs), purchase orders, and manage supplier portal activities.
  • Analyze and monitor contract performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Manage supplier relationships and drive supplier improvement activities by identifying trends, managing risks, and utilizing procurement tools effectively.
  • Review critical shortages with stakeholders and collaborate with suppliers to improve delivery schedules, ensuring actions are taken to close gaps.
  • Work with suppliers to create Line of Balance (LOB) and Work in Progress (WIP) Trackers to monitor part recovery status as needed.
  • Analyze root causes of overdue deliveries and implement permanent solutions to mitigate recurrence.
  • Drive delivery improvement plans, such as overdue reduction and buffer compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business units to eliminate risks and roadblocks, including resolving outstanding SRIs (Supplier Risk Index), CADs (Contractual Agreement Data), and FAIs (Failure Analysis Indicator) to improve supplier performance.
  • Proactively lead alternative solutions to resolve operational challenges.
  • Lead cross-functionally on projects to support procurement strategies.
  • Utilize project management skills to effectively manage suppliers and operational challenges.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP procurement software or similar ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems in a supply chain or procurement environment, including: Oracle, Epicor, People Soft, APEX or PRISM
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supplier management, including: performance improvements and mitigate supply chain risks, expertise in handling RFQs (Request for Qualifications), purchase orders, supplier portals, and procurement workflows.
  • Advanced English Proficiency
Qualifications We Preferred:
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate fluently and professionally in written and spoken English.
  • Previous experience in aerospace electronics procurement and working with aerospace drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiar with supply chain practices in the aerospace and defense industry, export regulations to ensure compliance, and building strong supplier relationships to drive performance and alignment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive decision-making and deliver measurable process improvements, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP for data analysis, reporting, and resource planning.
