Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Electrical Engineer in Mexicali, MX to support electrical systems and manufacturing processes for aerospace products. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, equipment improvement, and cross-functional collaboration with global teams.

You will analyze equipment, plan manufacturing tasks, and develop procedures to ensure on-time project completion while maintaining safety and quality standards. English and Spanish communication are required.

Formación

  • Typically requires a university degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3 years.
  • Experience with Windows-based electrical testing software and PC hardware is expected.

Responsabilidades

  • Analyze equipment and conduct tests to establish operating data.
  • Plan manufacturing activities and manage installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment.
  • Determine material needs and order supplies for project completion.
  • Develop procedures for electrical products, components, or systems.
  • Manage electrical equipment manufacture, installation, and maintenance for smooth operations.
  • Maintain maintenance schedules and design or operational reports for progress tracking.
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day technical issues on production lines to minimize disruption.
  • Design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate electronics for various equipment.
  • Research and test electrical components and systems for industrial and domestic use.
  • Communicate in English and Spanish with corporate leaders; may travel to the U.S. if needed.

The Senior Manufacturing Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and engineering solutions to manufacturing operations, focusing on electrical systems, production equipment, testing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role applies engineering knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues, optimize manufacturing processes, improve equipment performance, and ensure the successful production of aerospace products while collaborating with cross-functional and global teams.

What You Will Do:
  • Analyzes equipment and conducts experimental tests to establish operating data.
  • Performs engineering duties including manufacturing planning and the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus to ensure that projects are completed on-time and as per the defined goals.
  • Determines material and equipment needs and orders supplies to ensure sufficient resources for project completion.
  • Develops or performs operational, maintenance, or testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment, or systems to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering processes.
  • Manage activities for the manufacture, construction, installation, maintenance, operation, or modification of electronic equipment, products, or systems to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepares, reviews or maintains maintenance schedules, design documentation, or operational reports and charts to ensure that progress and performance can be tracked.
  • Resolves day-to-day technical problems on the production lines to minimize disruption.
  • Troubleshoots electrical device problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Designs, fabricates, modifies, and evaluates electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in other equipment and devices.
  • Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
  • Produces products according to specifications, using the most cost effective and efficient means.
  • Analyzes and evaluates new or improved electronic components. Includes power generation, transmission and distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, wire communication systems and servomechanisms. Includes circuit theory, computer design and development, instrumentation, radio communications, semiconductor devices, solid state devices, and television systems.
  • Works autonomously with limited supervision.
  • Influences others within the work area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
  • Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with corporate leaders through in-person meetings, presentations, reports, and written correspondence.
  • May be required to travel occasionally to the United States to support business needs.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Proficient Conversational and written English required.
  • Experience in software management, installation of Windows applications for electrical testing programs and PC hardware (port cards, video cards, etc.).
Qualifications We Preferred:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis, and reporting).
  • Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., VBA, Python, SQL, C#, or similar) demonstrating logical problem-solving and process automation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Previous experience supporting electronic manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, troubleshooting, or production support activities.
