Sensient Technologies seeks a Process Engineer Manager for our Lerma, MX site. You will lead process engineering, coach teams, and drive continuous improvement across production, quality, and process control.

You will oversee development and qualification of new manufacturing processes and equipment, collaborate with plant personnel and technical teams, and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations in a global color, flavor, and extracts environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 7–10 years of professional experience in process engineering with proven people management experience.
• Hands-on experience with plant-level process control and process-variable management.
• Experience leading projects from development through implementation to operations on the plant floor.
• Strong technical knowledge of production, quality, process control and ERP systems (JD Edwards) and MS Office.
• English proficiency is required with strong communication skills.

We are looking for a Process Engineer Manager to work at our manufacturing site in Lerma, MX.

What you’ll do:

• Plan, monitor, and control production processes and variables from start to finish, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent operations.
• Lead and manage the process engineering function, providing direction, coaching, and development to team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Optimize workflows, reduce production times and variability, and maximize product capabilities through data-driven process improvements.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate process risks while developing and implementing process improvement and optimization strategies, including improving and optimizing existing products and their manufacturing processes.
• Lead the development, implementation, and launch of new product manufacturing processes, taking them through to successful plant-floor execution, and support the installation and qualification of new manufacturing equipment.
• Serve as a key link between production and the technical needs of manufacturing processes, working closely with plant personnel and technical teams in St. Louis, including supporting operations during the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement across existing manufacturing processes and equipment, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, capacity, quality, safety, and reliability while supporting successful implementation on the plant floor.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 7–10 years of professional experience in process engineering, preferably within the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, or related process industries, with proven people management experience.
• Hands-on experience with plant-level process control, management of process variables, and implementation of process improvement and optimization strategies.
• Experience leading projects from development through implementation and successfully transitioning them to an operational level on the plant floor.
• Strong technical knowledge of production, quality, quality assurance, and process control in a manufacturing environment, along with experience using JD Edwards or a similar ERP system and Microsoft Office.
• English proficiency is required, with strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to lead and collaborate effectively with plant personnel and technical teams.
