Job summary

Nemak Mexico is seeking a quality-focused manufacturing engineer to optimize aluminum casting, machining, and assembly lines in our automotive production facilities. You will drive continuous improvement, use core tools, and lead corrective actions to meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include reducing waste, improving OEE, and supporting new product launches with PPAP and ramp-up activities. Strong English and teamwork are required for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in automotive manufacturing.
• 2+ years in aluminum casting, machining, or assembly processes.
• 2+ years with APQP/quality assurance.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Core Tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production losses and bottlenecks to improve OEE, cycle times, capacity, and line efficiency.
• Reduce scrap, rework, and process variation through root cause analysis and PFMEA.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives on materials, labor, energy, and waste.
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma projects and Kaizen events.
• Support new product launches through process design, PPAP, and ramp-up stabilization.
• Ensure processes meet safety, environmental, ergonomic, and quality standards.
• Develop standard work, work instructions, and operator training materials.
• Use process data and digital monitoring to identify improvements and validate results.
