Job summary

Axiom is seeking a Process Engineer in Guadalajara, North Campus to join our production engineering team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will focus on cost, quality and delivery improvements across NPI and mass production, developing process control methodologies and transferring processes to the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Engineering or bachelor’s degree completed.
• Previous experience in similar positions (metalworking industry).
• Conversational English.
• NPI and Mass production experience.
• IPC knowledge.
• Knowledge in assembly processes (End to End).
• Green Belt or Yellow Belt certification as a plus.
• Mini Tab knowledge as a plus.
• IATF knowledge as a plus.
• PPAP process as a plus.
• SolidWorks knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Participation in daily production activities for NPI and Mass production.
• Engineering Change Implementation Support (ECO).
• Develop, apply and own process control methodologies.
• Troubleshoot process related problems.
• Participation in cycle time and process improvement related activities.
• Apply statistical process research on new and existing products.
• Apply safety, productivity and yield improvements.
• Continually develop manufacturing techniques that improve internal capabilities and performance.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Interface with production on all activities associated with implementation and transfer of new processes.
• Assist in development of training and provide training to production personnel during the transfer of new and sustaining products.
• Guide cost improvement/reduction programs.
• Direct contact with the client.
• Fixture and poka-yokes design.
