Job summary

Flex is seeking a Process Engineer for its Guadalajara, North Campus, reporting to the Production Manager. You will drive process improvements focused on cost, quality and delivery in a metalworking manufacturing environment.

Your day involves supporting NPI and mass production, ECOs, implementing process control methods, troubleshooting issues, and guiding cost-savings programs while interfacing with the client as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree completed.
• Experience in metalworking industry.
• Conversational English.
• NPI and Mass production experience.
• IPC knowledge.
• End-to-end assembly process knowledge.
• Green Belt or Yellow Belt certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily NPI and Mass production activities.
• ECO support during engineering changes.
• Develop, apply and own process control methodologies.
• Troubleshoot process related problems.
• Participate in cycle time and process improvement activities.
• Interface with production during transfer of new processes.

To support our extraordinary teams that build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a Process Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Process Engineer role involves process engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements to sustain a manufacturing organization.

What a typical day looks like:

• Participation in the daily production activities of NPI and Mass production.
• Engineering Change Implementation Support (ECO).
• Develop, apply and own process control methodologies.
• Troubleshoot process related problems.
• Participate in cycle time and process improvement related activities.
• Apply statistical process research on new and existing products.
• Apply safety, productivity and yield improvements.
• Continually develop manufacturing techniques that improve internal capabilities and performance.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Interface with production on all activities associated with the implementation and transfer of new processes.
• Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during the transfer of new and sustaining products.
• Guide cost improvement/reduction programs.
• Direct contact with the client.
• Fixture and poka-yokes design.

The experience we are looking for to add to our team:

• Engineering or bachelor’s degree completed.
• Previous experience in similar positions (metalworking industry).
• Conversational English.
• NPI and Mass production experience.
• IPC knowledge.
• Knowledge in assembly processes (End to End).
• Green Belt or Yellow Belt certification as a plus.
• Mini Tab knowledge as a plus.li>
• IATF knowledge as a plus.
• PPAP process as a plus.
• SolidWorks knowledge.
