Visteon is seeking a Process Engineer I to support SMT lines in Reynosa, Mexico. You will focus on reducing downtime, minimizing scrap, and ensuring process control for SMD assembly, with emphasis on IATF16949 and ISO14001/OHSAS18001 compliance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement new products and process improvements, and maintain manufacturing documentation and KPIs to drive continuous improvement across the line.

Formación

• Experience in SMT process engineering and quality systems.
• Knowledge of 8D problem solving and process validation.
• Familiarity with IATF16949 / ISO14001 / OHSAS18001 standards.

Responsabilidades

• Reduce downtime on SMT lines.
• Reduce scrap in SMT lines.
• Support Laser Marker, DEK Stencil & Tooling.
• Maintain flow diagrams and work instructions.
• Apply 8D for quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement and new product introductions.
• Update manufacturing documentation (ECN & TCS).
• Ensure KPI data is current and accurate.

Mission of the Role

The SMT Process Engineer 1 is responsible for work on the Quality of the line, BTS, capacity, efficiency, down time reduction, continuous improvement, process validation and supervising the engineering performance. they support the SMD placement lines, adhering to Visteon internal practices, procedures, and IATF & APQP requirements .

Key Objectives of this Role

• Focus to reduce the down time in the SMT lines

• Laser Marker, DEK Stencil & Tooling support
• Flow diagram/Work instruction knowledge
• 8D’s for internal/external quality issues
• Continues improvement.
• implementation of new products and process control.
• Ensuring the accomplishment of IATF16949 / ISO14001 / OHSAS18001
• Ensuring the adherence of the team members to the Zero defects
• Ensure the daily updating of the line KPIs performance and the updating
• Equipment support and process control for SMD process
• Ensure the plant objectives reaches the lower level of the organization.
• Ensuring the on time updating of manufacturing documentation ECN & TCS in all products.
• The corrective actions to internal and external failures
