Ford México is seeking a CAPP Engineer to collaborate with Powertrain Manufacturing, Product Development, and suppliers to develop and launch next-generation Powertrain processes. The role emphasizes NC code development and tooling, with lab-based R&D to ensure seamless transition to high-volume production.

The position requires hands-on CNC knowledge, NX/AutoCad tooling experience, and strong cross-functional communication.

Formación

• Experience with machining for powertrain applications is required.
• Proficient in writing, debugging, and optimizing NC code for multi-axis CNC machines.
• Hands-on experience in a controlled lab or R&D environment developing new tooling and machining technologies.
• Strong experience in process integration—transferring technology from development to high-volume production.
• Ability to conduct and interpret simulations to support manufacturing feasibility.
• Knowledge of DPA5 (Digital Preassembly 5) processes is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, across cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Drive new process development requests and enable cross-functional teams to create robust machining and assembly processes.
• Develop, edit, and optimize NC code (G-code/M-code) for new machining cycles and tooling.
• Lead lab-based R&D to validate tooling and machining processes before production deployment.
• Act as lead integrator to implement lab-developed tech in plant operations and optimize existing processes.
• Support DPA5 by verifying MDS and MPS during development.
• Support simultaneous engineering and feasibility studies across product, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
• Assist in vibration data collection and analysis to improve process robustness.
• Troubleshoot production issues and coach plants toward continuous improvement.
