Ford Motor Company is seeking a CAPP Engineer to collaborate with Powertrain Manufacturing, Product Development, and suppliers. You will develop and validate NC code, lead lab-based tool and process development, and bridge design to production in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Responsibilities include driving process integration, optimizing cycle time and tool life, and supporting MDS/MPS verification.

Formación

• Bachelor degree in mechanical, metallurgy, electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years machining experience, preferably powertrain.
• Proven CNC machinist with hands-on setup and operation.
• Proficient in writing and debugging NC code for multi-axis machines.
• Experience with NX tooling and documentation in NX/AutoCAD.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Knowledge of powertrain materials: steel, cast iron, CGI, aluminum.

Responsabilidades

• NC code development to support new machining cycles and tooling.
• Lead lab-based R&D for tooling and processes before deployment.
• Act as lead integrator to implement lab tech in plant operations.
• Support continuous optimization of processes to improve cycle time and tool life.
• Support DPA5 verification and related MDS/MPS documentation.
• Assist with cross-functional feasibility studies and engineering data collection.
