Job summary

Ford of Mexico seeks a senior Powertrain Engineering and Quality specialist to act as the technical bridge between Quality, Product Development and Calibration. You will own end-to-end powertrain solutions across combustion and electrified architectures, driving fixes into production and the field to safeguard vehicle integrity and customer satisfaction.

You will lead cross-functional task forces, manage field updates, verify effectiveness, and embed best practices while ensuring timely,

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience solving automotive problems in powertrain, quality, or systems engineering.
• Experience leading root-cause investigations using structured methodologies.
• Knowledge of powertrain systems (combustion, hybrid, or electric) and data acquisition.
• Ability to drive results and align cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end resolution of complex powertrain controls and calibration field concerns.
• Lead cross-functional rapid-response engineering task forces.
• Influence engineering priorities with data-backed business cases.
• Coordinate software updates, calibrations and field resolutions across plants and service operations.
• Verify effectiveness of solutions and develop field service bulletins.
• Capture lessons learned and embed best practices into future designs.
