Job summary

Ford of Mexico is seeking a powertrain engineering professional to act as the technical bridge between Quality, Product Development, and Calibration teams. You will own end-to-end solutions for powertrain controls and calibration issues across combustion and electrified architectures, leading cross-functional task forces and driving robust fixes into production and the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of automotive engineering, quality engineering, or powertrain calibration experience.
• Proven root-cause analysis experience using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Red X).
• Working knowledge of powertrain systems and vehicle data acquisition.
• Ability to drive cross-functional results in a matrixed engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end resolution of complex powertrain controls and calibration field concerns.
• Orchestrate cross-functional rapid-response teams to investigate root causes across hardware, software, and calibration systems.
• Negotiate data-backed technical business cases to prioritize resolution and secure resources.
• Coordinate the deployment of software updates and calibration changes across plants, service operations, and engineering teams.
• Track post-remedy field performance and develop Technical Service Bulletins for field technicians.
• Capture lessons learned and embed best practices into future program design rules and datasets.
