Job summary

Harting México S.A. de C.V. seeks an experienced PMO leader to drive the regional project portfolio with strong governance and strategic oversight.

You will mentor project managers, coordinate with stakeholders, and implement Change Management across multinational teams to ensure alignment with CoE PMO strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management, or related field.
• Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within a PMO or cross-functional teams.
• Experience in multinational and matrix organizations.
• Proven track record leading strategic operational and transformation projects.

Responsibilities

• Record, evaluate and prioritize project ideas with Regional Head.
• Plan the regional portfolio with Regional Head.
• Monitor and report the status of regional project portfolio to stakeholders.
• Resource management across projects.
• Support Project Managers in planning, budgeting, scope and scheduling.
• Ensure use of GPMO-Operations Standard and assist PMs.
• Implement Change Management in projects and connect with Change Managers.
• Advise senior management on portfolio prioritization and resource allocation.
• Lead, mentor and develop regional Project Managers.
• Develop regional strategy in line with CoE PMO strategy.
• Act as main contact for project stakeholders for communication.
• Coordinate with departments interfacing with projects for alignment.

Job description

• Record, evaluate and prioritize project ideas in coordination with Regional Head
• Plan the regional portfolio in coordination with Regional Head
• Monitor and report the status of the regional project portfolio to relevant Stakeholders
• Resource Management

Project Management

• Support Project Managers in project planning and organisation (budget, schedule, scope, resources)
• Ensure the correct usage of the GPMO-Operations Standard and support Project Managers
• Support Project Managers by implementing Change Management in their projects and/or arrange the contact to HARTING Change Managers

Training and Qualification

• Organise and/or perform trainings regarding GPMO-Operations Standard
• Ensure the qualification of Regional Project Managers according to requirements defined by CoE PMO

Leadership and Strategy

• Serve as a key advisor to senior management on project portfolio management, prioritization, and resource allocation
• Lead, guide, and mentor project managers, fostering professional growth and high performance
• Regional strategy development according to CoE PMO strategy

Communication and Reporting

• Act as the main contact for project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirements gathering, and project updates to maintain alignment and transparency
• Leverage negotiation skills to secure project resources and resolve conflicts, ensuring positive outcomes
• Apply conflict management strategies to resolve disputes among project stakeholders and maintain collaboration
• Intercultural Competencies
• Gather feedback from Project Managers, Project Team Members and all other employees of the region and forward it to the CoE PMO
• Coordinate with all departments interfacing with projects and processes to ensure alignment and collaboration across the Region

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience within a PMO or managing cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in multinational and matrix organizations.
• Proven track record leading strategic operational and transformation projects.
