One Mobility Group is seeking a PMO Governance Manager (Americas) based in Mexico (Ciudad Juárez or Comonfort). You will develop governance frameworks, establish reporting, and drive process improvements across cross-functional teams to align with automotive standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in PMO/Project Management within the automotive sector, strong English skills, and experience with Core Tools and MS Project.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; PMP or IPMA preferred.
  • 5+ years in Project Management, PMO, or related automotive roles with Core Tools experience.
  • Strong English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work in cross-functional and international environments.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and implement project governance frameworks to ensure alignment with objectives and compliance with regulations.
  • Establish and maintain project reporting mechanisms for regular stakeholder updates.
  • Facilitate project reviews and audits to ensure governance standards are met.
  • Design and improve project management processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive implementation of new processes, defining communication and training for affected teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve delivery.
  • Standardize PM standards across the organization and align with automotive best practices.
  • Regularly review standards to reflect tech and industry trends.
  • Coordinate with PMO, PLM, and other functions to align requirements and processes.
  • Provide training and support to ensure consistent application of methodologies.

Position

PMO Governance Manager (Americas), located in Mexico – Ciudad Juárez or Comonfort, Gto.

Your tasks:
  • Develop and implement project governance frameworks to ensure projects align with organizational objectives and comply with industry regulations.
  • Establish and maintain project reporting mechanisms, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Facilitate project reviews and internal audits to ensure compliance with governance standards.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve project management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Actively drive and support the implementation of new processes, defining communication, training needs, and capacity recommendations for affected Cross-Functions and Business Segments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, enhance project delivery, and incorporate lessons learned and feedback into continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Standardize and enforce project management standards across the organization, ensuring alignment with industry standards (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, APQP), PMO process standards, regulatory requirements, and automotive project management best practices.
  • Regularly review and update standards to reflect advancements in technology, industry trends, and organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, the PLM organization, and other cross-functions to understand project requirements and align processes accordingly.
  • Provide training and support to project teams to ensure consistent application of project management methodologies and adherence to standards.
  • Track and analyze project performance metrics, identify trends, areas for improvement, and process-related risks, and implement appropriate countermeasures and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and improvement actions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous project management improvement within the PMO and across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. PMP or IPMA Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in Project Management, PMO, or a related role within the automotive industry; experience applying Project Management Methodologies; experience using MS Project Professional; experience with automotive Core Tools, including FMEA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plan (CP), and related methodologies.
  • Languages: English - Strong proficiency (written and verbal).
  • Soft Skills: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. High level of accountability and ownership. Inclusive and decisive thinking. Proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach. Basic people management capability.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of automotive industry standards and processes. Experience working in cross-functional and international environments. Familiarity with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, APQP, and automotive project management best practices.
