Plant Production Leader — Lean Ops & TPM

Job summary

Newell Brands in Acuña, Coahuila seeks an experienced Manufacturing Operations leader to strengthen production execution and frontline leadership.

This role will oversee daily performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory and people, directing Production Supervisors and driving Lean, TPM, and OEE initiatives while collaborating with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain and EHS to maintain safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of progressive manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years leading Production Supervisors or frontline teams.
• Experience in high-volume, multi-shift manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen and OEE.
• Hands-on problem-solving with A3, 8D, Root Cause Analysis or DMAIC.
• Experience with KPIs: production attainment, schedule adherence, throughput, FPY, scrap, rework, labor efficiency and overtime.
• Knowledge of standard work, daily management systems, tier meetings, and escalation processes.
• Experience driving scrap reduction, productivity, and cost optimization.
• Ability to partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Planning and EHS.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office; professional English.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for daily production performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory and People.
• Lead Production Supervisors and drive shop-floor routines.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, TPM, OEE, productivity and waste-reduction initiatives.
• Serve as operational delegate for the Manufacturing Manager; lead cross-functional escalations.
• Make timely decisions to maintain safe, efficient and reliable production.
