• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience as a Plant Manager or Plant Director in a high-volume setting.
• Lean Manufacturing, process controls, and quality systems including IATF 16949 / TS 16949.
• Root cause analysis, Six Sigma, 8D, and structured problem-solving tools.
• Strong financial acumen with plant-level P&L responsibility.
• Proven record of improving safety and operational results.
• Experience with OEM customers and customer-facing programs.
• Leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems; solid EHS knowledge.

Summary

Core Molding Technologies is seeking a Plant Director to lead all aspects of plant operations, driving performance across manufacturing, engineering, quality, safety, delivery, and customer satisfaction. This role has full accountability for plant performance, including P&L ownership, operational execution, and team leadership. The Plant Director partners with site and corporate leadership to deliver results, build a strong culture, and establish a high-performing, world-class manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations, including manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and safety
• Own plant P&L performance, driving profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency
• Establish and execute strategies to achieve targets in safety, quality, delivery, and cost
• Lead and develop the plant leadership team; establish performance goals and ensure accountability for results
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Ensure strong process discipline and adherence to quality and operational standards
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
• Allocate resources effectively to meet production and business objectives
• Monitor plant performance through KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed
• Partner with customers, suppliers, and corporate leadership to support business growth and new program launches

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3+ years of experience as a Plant Manager or Plant Director in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, process controls, and quality systems, including IATF 16949 / TS 16949
• Experience with root cause analysis, Six Sigma, 8D, and structured problem-solving tools
• Demonstrated engineering and manufacturing process knowledge
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing plant-level P&L
• Proven track record of improving safety performance and operational results
• Experience working with OEM customers and customer-facing programs
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
• Solid understanding of EHS regulations and compliance requirements

Preferred Experience

• Experience with thermoplastic materials and injection molding processes
• Experience with molding equipment and processes
• Demonstrated success improving or turning around underperforming operations

Work Environment & Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday. Extended hours and weekend work may be required based on business needs. This role operates in a manufacturing office and shop floor environment.
