Job summary

Fanatics Collect is building its first engineering hub in Mexico City, and this role is central to making it a great place to work from day one.

As People and Workplace Lead, you will be the on-the-ground presence for a growing team — starting with launch and move-in preparation and evolving into a full HR support function as the office scales from its initial cohort of engineers to a broader 40+ person hub spanning engineering, data, design, and product.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of HR generalist or HR operations experience
• Strong working knowledge of Mexican labor law (LFT), IMSS, and standard employment practices in Mexico
• Full professional bilingualism in English and Spanish - you communicate clearly and confidently in both languages with both local and global stakeholders
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential HR matters with discretion, empathy, and sound judgment
• Comfortable operating independently in an environment that is still building its local structure

Responsibilities

• Launch and Day 1 readiness for the CDMX space, coordinating furniture delivery, IT equipment, badging and workspace setup
• Lead new hire onboarding for CDMX employees – pre-boarding, Day 1 orientation, and 30/60/90-day check-ins
• Serve as first line of employee relations support and advise on HR policies and workplace concerns
• Support employee engagement initiatives including team events and culture-building activities
• Ensure HRIS data hygiene and confidentiality in partnership with global People Ops and Legal
