Essity Higiene y Salud México, S.A. de C.V is seeking a Payroll Team Leader to oversee payroll operations across Mexico and Central America.

You will lead a team of payroll professionals, ensure accurate, compliant, and timely pay cycles, and partner with stakeholders across local and regional functions. You will drive continuous improvement, collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT, and maintain high service quality.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in HR/finance or related field.
• Strong experience leading payroll ops in multinational/multi-country setups.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with regional stakeholder communication.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate payroll delivery across Mexico and Central America.
• Ensure compliance with local labor, tax, social security, and payroll regs.
• Coach and develop Payroll Specialists and Administrators.
• Escalate complex payroll matters and guide policy/compliance.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and digitalization.
• Build relationships with HR, Finance, IT, vendors, and leaders.
• Monitor payroll reporting, metrics, and service performance.

About the Role

As Payroll Team Leader, you will lead payroll operations across Mexico and Central America, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery. You will play a key role in creating a seamless employee experience, leading a team of payroll professionals, and partnering with stakeholders across local, regional, and global functions. In this role, you will help drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, collaboration, and a strong commitment to service quality.

What You Will Do

• Payroll Operations: Lead and coordinate payroll delivery across Mexico and Central America, ensuring accurate and timely processing for all payroll cycles.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with local labor, tax, social security, and payroll regulations while maintaining strong controls and audit readiness.
• Team Leadership: Coach, develop, and support Payroll Specialists and Administrators to build a high-performing, customer-focused team.
• Issue Resolution: Act as the escalation point for complex payroll matters and provide guidance on payroll-related policies, processes, and compliance requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive process standardization, automation, digitalization, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Build effective relationships with HR, Compensation & Benefits, Finance, IT, external vendors, and business leaders across the region.
• Reporting & Performance: Monitor payroll reporting, operational metrics, resource planning, and service performance to support business continuity and operational excellence.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Solid experience leading payroll operations within multinational and multi-country environments, preferably across Mexico and Central America and/or Shared Services organizations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll controls, tax regulations, social security requirements, labor compliance, payroll systems, and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead people, influence stakeholders, solve complex problems, manage competing priorities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in fast-paced environments.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate confidently with regional and global stakeholders.
