Winning-Assistants is seeking a part-time Patient Intake and Insurance Verification specialist to support U.S. behavioral health clients. You will verify eligibility, schedule appointments, and manage referrals with HIPAA-compliant processes.

The role requires English proficiency, experience with payer portals, and strong communication. Work hours align with Eastern Time, with on-site or remote options depending on client needs.

Formación

• Minimum of one year hands-on experience verifying U.S. mental/behavioral health insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Experience supporting patients through reproductive mental health concerns preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial plans and patient financial responsibility (copays, deductibles, coinsurance, OOP max).
• Experience using insurance payer portals and EHR systems.
• Ability to read insurance cards and benefit information carefully.
• Compassionate, empathetic, trauma-informed communication style.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience collecting referrals and insurance information.

Responsabilidades

• Answer calls and respond to patient inquiries with warmth and professionalism.
• Coordinate patient intake from initial contact through scheduling.
• Verify eligibility and benefits for commercial plans.
• Use payer portals and review CPT codes for mental health services.
• Confirm copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and patient responsibility.
• Schedule appointments and maintain provider calendars.
• Update patient records in Practice Better.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.
• Escalate unfamiliar insurance situations.
