Job summary

Ericsson Mexico City is seeking a Packet Core Integration Engineer to provide service delivery for operators in North and South America, covering design, deployment, integration, configuration and troubleshooting of 4G and 5G packet core elements.

The role involves working with customers and global teams, utilizing Linux, TCP/IP, containers, Kubernetes and OpenStack; travel may be required and English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• A business level English B2-C1 or equivalent.
• Bachelor of Engineering or related field qualification.
• Up to 3 years’ telecom experience with at least 1 year of experience in External Customer’s Management.
• Experience in Packet Core domain, 4G and 5G.
• Hands on experience for 4G Elements for deployment, integration, configuration and troubleshooting (MME, EPG, SAPC, DSC).
• Knowledge about 5G Elements (AMF, UPF, SMF, PCF, SC) with healthchecks or deployments/upgrades preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and consultative approach.
• Kubernetes knowledge with hands-on experience.
• Demonstrate motivation and proactivity to improve processes and tools.
• Ability to work with teams locally and globally.

Responsibilities

• Provide service delivery to telecommunication operators for North and South America.
• Work with customers to provide System Integration, Rollout, Optimization and troubleshooting using Linux, TCP/IP, Containers (Kubernetes, OpenStack) and Virtualization.
• Be part of a diverse team to increase profitability and drive continuous improvement.
• Interact closely with customers and a local and distributed team.
• Influence and drive exciting, results-oriented projects.
