General Motors seeks a Zone Manufacturing Engineer to own a production zone, leading the design, installation and launch of manufacturing processes and tooling for new programs and model changes. You will manage tooling, equipment projects, optimize material flow and drive readiness across cross-functional teams in a hands-on plant environment.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (or equivalent).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and resolution.
• Analytical, communicative, and able to influence cross-functional teams.
• Project management experience with multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% during launches and some weekend/shift hours.
• English level: Advanced.

Responsabilidades

• Be the technical owner for an assigned production zone, leading design, installation, and launch of processes and tooling.
• Lead manufacturing process development including process design, equipment/tooling selection, and ramp-up to steady state.
• Own program launches and production changes by defining product and manufacturing requirements.
• Manage tooling, equipment, and technology projects from concept through design, build, validation, and launch.
• Analyze and optimize material flow and support future-state improvements.
• Drive launch readiness and issue resolution by leading plant build events and cross-functional reviews.
• Ensure process compliance and quality, including PFMEAs, PPI execution, system deliverables, and spare-parts readiness.
• Support procurement, financial reviews, and cross-functional alignment on tooling and M&E requirements.
