Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Onshore Wind Energy Project Development Coordinator based in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. You will oversee all development phases from site identification to financing, coordinating with technical teams and external partners.

The role requires at least 5 years in renewable energy project development, strong financial acumen, and excellent negotiation and communication skills. Fluency in Spanish and English is advantageous within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on wind energy.
• Proven track record of developing wind projects to financial close.
• Strong financial analysis and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of onshore wind energy project development from site identification to financing.
• Conduct site assessments including wind resource analysis and environmental studies.
• Engage with communities, government agencies, and landowners for approvals.
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure design compliance.
• Negotiate and manage landowner, supplier, and contractor contracts.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and KPIs.
• Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for stakeholders and investors.
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting wind development in Mexico.
• Oversee permitting processes and documentation.
• Collaborate with construction and operations for a smooth transition post-development.
