Placements24 is seeking a Director of Wind Energy Projects to lead large-scale wind developments from Monterrey, NL, MX. The role covers strategy, team leadership, permitting, construction, and financial close for multi-million dollar ventures.

The position is fully remote, requiring strong cross-border collaboration with teams and stakeholders across Mexico. Candidates should have a proven wind project development and financing track record and fluency in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in engineering, business, or related field.
• 10+ years in project development/management in renewables; 5+ years in wind.
• Proven track record financing utility-scale wind projects.
• In-depth wind resource assessment, turbine tech, and project economics.
• Strong grasp of Mexico's regulatory/permitting environment.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience managing complex budgets and P&L responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for wind energy projects.
• Oversee all wind farm development phases: site, permitting, enviro, and construction.
• Lead and mentor project teams to high performance.
• Manage relationships with government, landowners, investors, and tech providers.
• Negotiate contracts, PPAs, and financing arrangements.
• Ensure on-time delivery within financial targets and safety standards.
• Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Report progress and financial performance to execs and board.
