Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a GP Operator to join the offshore team in Tampico. The role focuses on shipboard maintenance, rigging, slinging, painting and preservation, with emphasis on safety and compliance across all tasks.

Responsibilities include load preparation, signaling, and coordination with the GP Foreman to ensure safe and efficient operations. Certification in rigging, lifting, and SLWM is essential, with medical fitness required.

Qualifications

• STCW Reg A II/5 or equivalent certification is required.
• Rigging and Lifting Certification is required.
• Banksman Slinger Certification is required.
• Medical fitness as per company health standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out shipboard maintenance, rigging, slinging, painting and preservation with a high standard of safety.
• Perform slinging and rigging operations, load preparation and signaling during lifts.
• Maintain and inspect slinging equipment and PPE; ensure clean and safe work areas.
• Coordinate with GP Foreman and team to execute maintenance and coating tasks safely.
