Job summary

Fontis Energy is seeking a Motorman to assist in the operation, maintenance, and routine inspection of diesel engines, pumps, compressors, generators, and other rig machinery. You will contribute to efficient and safe operation of all vital equipment on the rig.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, monitoring power systems, maintaining logs, and performing thorough shift handovers. A high school diploma is acceptable with 3 years in oil drilling; fluent English is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred but a high school diploma or equivalent is acceptable.
• Strong computer and software skills are expected.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities required.
• English fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient execution of maintenance and repair activities.
• Continuous monitoring of power consumption and distribution.
• All drills and checks are conducted as required.
• All applicable reports and logs are maintained.
• Engine room kept tidy and in good working order.
• Thorough handovers provided at each shift change.
• Check and record lubrication oil level and top up as required.
• Monitor engine room systems for leaks and report defects immediately.
