Job summary

Flex is seeking an NPI Manager for the South Site in Mexico to drive new product introductions from initiation through transfer to production. You will coordinate engineers, management and external consultants to meet schedules and budgets and ensure alignment with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Project management knowledge with experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Full project management lifecycle experience (Transfers, NPIs, Proto, Production Ramp Up).
• Experience in medical devices with regulatory and quality requirements (FDA QSR).

Responsibilities

• Establish project schedule, financial parameters and technical requirements from initiation through transfer.
• Communicate customer requirements, project schedule and budget to cross-functional teams and management.
• Review daily production schedule and identify problem areas; provide direction to resolve issues.
• Develop status reports including project financials and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
• Lead NPIs and transfers, and support larger project programs as needed.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a NPI Manager located in Flex South Site, Mexico. Reporting to the Director, Operations, the NPI Manager will be responsible to establish project schedule, financial parameters and technical requirements, managing project from initiation through transfer and sustaining of the account. Communicate customer requirements, specifications, project schedule, and budget constraints to cross-functional teams, including engineers, senior management and consultants and review daily production schedule and identify problem areas.

What a typical day looks like:

Establish project schedule, financial parameters and technical requirements, managing project from initiation through transfer. Communicate customer requirements, specifications, project schedule, and budget constraints to cross-functional teams, including engineers, senior management and consultants. Review daily production schedule and identify problem areas. Assess causes of problems and provide technical support and direction to project team to resolve issues. Develop status reports, including project financials, ensuring project team is meeting customer requirements and measuring cost control. Maintain project plan documents, procedures and project deliverables. Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc. Assist in the management of larger projects/programs. Provide advice to lower level Project/Product Managers to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Recommend changes to policies which may affect subordinate organization(s). Interact frequently with customers and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management; frequently interact with middle management and individual contributor groups.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor´s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Strong communication skill (English and Spanish)
• Project Management knowledge
• Experience leading CFT
• Full Project Management (Transfers, NPIs, Proto, Production Ramp Up, etc…)
• Experience of technical project management with medical devices; Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures operating under regulatory and quality requirements such FDA QSR Operations / Budget Management Project Design & Lifecycle Management Cross-Functional Team Leadership Financial Management and Cost Control Process & Technologies Developments Strong financial Concepts P&L, Budgets, Fix costs & quotations (NPI & Mass Production) Decisive leader with proven success in establishing business relationships and identify growth opportunities and implement strong business alliances. Leader, Coach and team builder Lean Manufacturing Culture Collaboration with other areas Experience working in Medical Industry. Microsoft project Excel medium level Experience in quotes Knowledge on assembly process
